Hit by a Bus
I’m praying for a second grader who was hit by a pickup truck while crossing the street to get on the school bus. The truck didn’t stop at the flashing red lights, and the kid had to go to the hospital via helicopter. My daughter Nikki is in second grade, too, and she had a bit of a hard day today dealing with that. Man, I hate to see things like this happen to kids, especially when it’s preventable if adults would just pay attention and be responsible.

Hey, Emily, that’s a good word. I didn’t hear that side of the story, but regardless of how it went down, both the victim and the driver (and their families and friends) need our prayers.

I was told the driver of the truck had slowed down and the bus camera showed 2 seconds between the flashing lights coming on and him stopping. This is a terrible situation. I just dont want people thinking the driver was irresponsible and careless. He is completely the opposite and a friend of the family, and also in need of prayers.
